Privacy & resilience
Your financial history should not depend on our server.
Kanakku's core architecture is local-first. Network services are used only for features that need them, such as ads, Google Play billing and optional Local Web access.
Offline-first
Core financial records live on your device. Kanakku does not require a B Nilavara account for normal expense and ledger use.
Portable backups
Create KDB backups for recovery and move them where you choose. CSV and Excel exports are also produced on-device.
App privacy controls
App Lock, screenshot protection and privacy-aware notifications help reduce accidental exposure of sensitive financial information.
Local Web
Premium users can access Kanakku from a browser on the same local network without moving the core database to a hosted cloud service.
